One of the best ways to compare the two models is to evaluate their technical specifications. The key similarities and differences between the K250 and the K350 are grouped in the following table.
Key Features of Keurig K250 Coffee Maker
The K250 has a small footprint and is designed for small countertops. The machine comes in a plethora of cheerful colors able to make your day bright in the morning. If fun colors don’t match the style of your kitchen, opt for classic shades.
The housing of the coffee maker is plastic; however, the unit is very sturdy. Its 40 oz. water reservoir is located on the backside and features a water level marking. This capacity is enough for a small family. The tank is detachable and can be easily cleaned or filled with water. The machine uses a water filter and comes with a bonus one.
The front panel features an LCD screen, which is black and white. It is easy to use and offers a number of options to customize your beverage. The temperature of the drink cannot be programmed, but the machine brews drinks at the optimal temperature – 192°F.
The catch tray can also be removed. This allows accommodating taller cups (even 7.2’’ travel mugs).
This model works with coffee pods and recognizes 75 coffee brands. It easily accepts larger capsules like K-mug and K-carafe, if you want to brew larger quantities. The K250 is equipped with a technology that scans the inserted pod. If you run out of capsules, the machine has the option of preparing a drink using ground coffee.
The appliance takes a minute to heat water, and its brewing process is fast as well. Just lift the handle, insert a capsule, and close the handle. Place a cup under the spout and select the desired setting on the touch screen. Press the start button and watch a flavored beverage pouring into your cup.
If you are not in the mood to drink coffee, the K250 allows you to make hot cacao and tea.

Key Features of Keurig K350 Brewing System
The K350 features the same classic design as the K250, but it is slightly larger in size. The reason is that this model integrates a larger water reservoir that holds 60 oz. It is located on the left side of the machine, so the users can easily control the level of water. The device comes with a water filter.
This pod-type machine works with various capsule sizes. The detachable catch tray allows brewing coffee even in tall travel mugs. The smart unit reads a barcode on each pod and “understands” the type and the size of the beverage to brew. You can choose any one from 75 brands that you love. You can also prepare a specialty beverage like chai or hot cacao. An advantage of this model is a 4-cup carafe that comes with the set.
Similar to the K250, this model doesn’t allow you to program the drink temperature, but you can customize its strength if you like stronger coffee. The LCD display is easy to operate even for a novice: insert a capsule, adjust the drink strength on the screen, and push the brew button.
When not in use, the brewer turns off 1 hour after the last operation.

So, What Is the Difference Between These Models?
At a quick glance, both models have similar appearances and functions. This is true, but the K350 is a step-up from its opponent.
The K350 is bigger in size and comes with a larger water reservoir. It includes a carafe, which is a nice complement. Keurig has taken into account numerous complaints from customers that its coffee makers lack a container to pour a beverage into. One more difference is that this model has an automatic shut-off feature, which is a plus.
The K250 is sold in juicy colors, while the K350 is available only in black. It is sold with a starter kit that includes an additional water filter and a bottle of a descaling solution.
Is the Keurig K250 or K350 Right for You?
If you think that the above-mentioned improvements of the K350 are remarkable and worthy of extra money, opt for this model. This is a good option for medium-sized families and offices.
If you can put up with a smaller container for water and don’t actually need a carafe, choose a cheaper version – the K250. It is a nice budget device if you want to explore the Keurig coffee machines. This is a perfect variant for a single-person household and people who don’t plan on brewing multiple cups of coffee every day.
Both models use a 2.0 brewing system. In 2019, Keurig discontinued the production of 2.0 coffee machines. Still, you can buy those that are left in stock or purchase used ones.
